Happy Chinese New year!! I have spent the day celebrating and experiencing some culture.  Today, at the Chinese New year parade, I watched as adorned dragons danced from store to store collecting lettuce and lighting firecrackers.  I ate at the Amazing Penang restaurant afterwards (_ click down bar for the menu).  Penang is Malaysian food and the atmosphere, staff, and food never cease to amaze.  I got pad thai and my sister got coconut rice.
After lunch, my sister and I ventured to a favorite spot of ours, The Reading Terminal Market.  I feel like I was back in Rome in there because of the old historic community feel.  I love fresh, local produce and a "buffet" of stores and restaurants/cafes/bakeries/etc!  To those who do not know, The Reading Terminal Market has been around since 1892.  It is considered a National Landmark.  Your grandparents will tell you stories about their times here!  Today I had toffee crunch and cookie dough ice cream from  Bassetts Ice cream_ (since 1861- before the RTM).  I also bought a Metropolitan Bakery Cookie for later.  Pictured Below are some of the wonderful food choices you can sample in the Reading Terminal Market.  Besides food, there is a flower shop, clothing, soaps, books, and home ware! I would also like to give a shout out to Valley Shepherd Creamery #ValleySheherdCreamery for their amazing customer service and unique selection of local cheeses.

Ps: Check out my new Ombre Hair!!!  Comment below if you would like to know more about Ombre and hair care.  Also if you have any questions about Reading Terminal Market and Penang.  What is your favorite place to go to in the  Reading Terminal market?
xoxo

I like to go to the herbiary. Anyone that is interested in herbalism and natural healing with a focus on women's health and child birth will love this stall. There are numerous books and medicinal herbs plus the people who work there are knowledgeable in herbalism and are super sweet

Thank you for your comment Lisa. That is a great store. They also have natural skin care, which I was drawn to!
