Una Biologicals_ offers beauty products, home cares, and teas that are good for the body as well as the environment. I had the pleasure of meeting a lovely lady at a craft show on The Strip who has a passion for natural, organic ingredients, free of chemicals and petroleum and fragrances. I bought a lavender mint body lotion, so rich and thick that I feel it working on my skin immediately. The lavender is very relaxing and soothing at the end of the day. I also bought a spray for one's yoga matt. She said it can be used to erase any sweaty, bad odor so I figured why not use it on my shoes! She also threw in a mint Chapstick as a gift, which was very sweet. It is very moisturizing and the mint provides a tingling freshness to the lips.
"The Steel City", aka Pittsburgh has a diverse mecca of food, people, shops, and buildings. Growing up, visiting my Grandma in Shady Side/Squirrel Hill, I only knew the wealthy, high-end shopping area of Pittsburgh. My most recent visit of Pittsburgh opened my eyes to how beautiful, unique and delicious the city of Pittsburgh is. The restaurant Kaya_, located in the strip district on 2000 Smallman street was a wonderful trip to paradise. The drinks were fruity, the music was in island flavor and the food was fresh and flavorful. To the left is an appetizer of plantain hummus with plantain chips and my entree was a salmon salad with manchego, granny smith apples and candied pecans. I licked the plates clean! Nicky's Thai Kitchen_located in Downtown Pittsburgh and The North Side was voted in Pittsburgh magazine as one of Pittsburgh's 33 top-notch eateries. Walking into Nicky's Thai kitchen, I felt like I was in Thailand. Although I've never been, it is what I pictured it to be. Elephants and gold and lush greens, and not to mention, the food. I have never had crab ragoon so crisp and delicate and not greasy at all! We waited 45 mins to get a seat and it was worth every second of it. Mon Aimee,_ located on The Strip, offers chocolate from over 26 countries and also from Pennsylvania. Not only is there an endless buffet of truffles, licorice, and decadent treats, the store offers gelato as well. I bought hot chocolate, and several European chocolates and I was a very happy girl! Wow, that was a great description of how unique Pittsburgh is and why people should visit. I think a trip to Baltimore would be great. They have done a lot to revitalize the harbor and that cake show was filmed there.
