I love social media. Specifically, snap-chat and Instagram. Since I have a passion for photography and obviously, makeup, food, and fashion, Instagram has combined these passions. I dedicate this post to my top favorite Instagram accounts. I follow so many people from designers, to chefs, to makeup artists, to crafty moms and the list goes on. Since I am a teacher, (currently a nanny), Instagram has also inspired lessons and activities for young children. I have provided a list below of just a handful out of the thousands of people who create beautiful content every day and inspire me to do the same.
Saveurmag- This is an online food magazine that focuses on food all over the world. A viewer can look up recipes, travel, style and home, and see where and what people are eating all over the world.
bonappetitmag- This is a little peek into what is featured in the Bon Appetit magazine. I love this magazine. The food photos are crisp and so real that it feels like the plate is right in front of me to grab!
mybuddahbabe- is a Philadelphia made clothing range for young children and infants. The prints are to die for and very soft materials. They make bandana bibs and blankets too!
nytimes- I like this account because it features one of my favorite cities, New York. I can see hidden gems, people, restaurants, art, and photos from old and present day New York. It also features news from around the world as well, so it is a one stop shop.
the.modern.mom- This account features a blogger on fashion in regards to all things mommy and baby. She has beautiful photos of the nursery, diaper bags, strollers and all things related to being a mom. She makes motherhood look like a runway.
Giada DeLaurentiis- is a famous food network chef who not only can cook, but she is stunning. Since I love her show so much, along with The Pioneer Woman, and Barefoot Contessa, her account is another outlet for viewing what she is up to!
krystynahutch and philanthropygal are both hilarious strong female comedians living in New York City. They have a podcast called "Guys we F****d" where they openly talk about sex, love, and bodies. They are hilarious and they feature some amazing comedians and celebrities. I highly recommend their podcasts and I like their instagrams because I like seeing what these crazy gals get up to!
somethingnavy- This gal is gorgeous! Her name is Arielle and she is a blogger and just became a mommy and has an account featuring her baby too called, somethingruby. Her passion is fashion and style and she posts outfits everyday. I always take a peek to get some style inspiration.

Good evening everyone! Tonight's Sunday blog post is all about, you guessed it, being calm, or how to be (get) calm. This way of life is very important to me. I believe in treating myself and pampering my mind as much as I do my body because it allows me to be the best me I can be. I can love more, laugh more, and do more when I am in a calm state of mind. If you are going through stress right now or a highly demanding job, you need to make sure to take care of yourself and take note of my "Calm" strategies and maybe you can try one after reading this post.
"May the light within me, honor the light within you". This is a mantra within yogic practice and I really believe in meditation, which is a major part of yoga. Letting the mind rest allows me to regroup and push my troubles or stresses behind, at least for a little while. Yoga allows me to stretch and unwind (I do yoga at the end of the day). I enjoy setting an intention for the practice and I am always so happy and relaxed after a yoga class. I go to Yoga on Main in Manayunk, PA.
I try to pamper myself (beauty wise) once or twice a week. This involves a face mask, exfoliating, doing my nails, a hair mask, and sometimes a bath. I think we all deserve to be pampered. It makes me feel good and brand new!
Writing/Journaling is a great form of expression and for reflection. It helps me realize what I am grateful for and I just love to write. The two journals I use at the moment are not heavy on the writing portion, but I like them a lot.
The Journal on the left is a five year journal. Each page has a question and I can see how my answers vary every year for five years. I like taking the few minutes each night to relax and reflect on a random question. The journal on the right is brand new to me and I am in love. It is called "Calm". Each page has information on being calm and activities for reflection and stress relief. I recommend this book for someone who does not like to write but needs inspiration to get calm.
Music has always been a constant in my life, so even in times of stress, I unwind and relax to my favorite songs. Zoning out to my favorite youtubers always helps too! My favorite youtubers talk about food, fashion, makeup, etc and obviously these are my favorite things. They take my mind off of whatever is worrying me. I will post a couple of my favorites below.
I like to reach out to a few certain people depending on what I am stressed about. I do not like to hold things in. Talking to people allows me to get good advice and support. At these times, I need a push of positive thinking.
It is important to have time for yourself. You are important and valuable. Your homework this week is to implement something into your routine that will bring a calmness to your life. Comment below what you try! Happy Sunday and have a calm week! xoxoxo

I am going back to grad school and I recently went school shopping. It is interesting to see how my taste in not only makeup and fashion has changed, but my school supplies taste. Sometimes, I like colorful, sometimes pastel, and this year I am on the neutral kick. I recomend Target and Muji for simple, modern and neutral school supplies. Have a look below to see what I will be bringing along to school!
I hope you liked my more neutral side of the school supplies aisle. Send me your color pallet for school supplies below! Happy Sunday and good luck to those in school and going back to school! xoxox
If you are like me, each season has its colors. I can close my eyes, think of a season and see specific colors. When I think of Autumn and Winter, I think of grays, navy, maroon, dark reds, dark greens and golden hues. I change my nail color every week and get excited for another color to smile at! Happy painting! xoxox
